Trash food: how to eliminate it from our lives.
A particularly stressful period may arise in everyone’s life . The society and the era in which we live is getting more and more chaotic and hectic. The stress generated are likely to cause significant damage to our physical and mental wellbeing. More and more people vent their anxiety in food, without paying attention to what they eat, the consequences which range from the acquisition of excess pounds, extremely difficult to dispose of, and serious consequence on health. The main problem highlighted by recent studies, is that people who eat because of stress show a particular fondness for so-called junk food. But not everyone is aware, that there are a number of foods in nature due to their beneficial properties, capable of inducing pleasurable relaxing sensations.
A healthy balanced diet is one of the main and additional effective solution to improve our well-being, It represents the first step to care of one self. The first step is represented by the drastic reduction of stimulating drinks, such as coffee, tea and carbonated beverages. At the same time we should prefer be foods rich in insoluble fibres, calcium and magnesium, easily found in legumes such as lentils and chickpeas, which not only contribute to the detoxification of our body, possessing extraordinary relaxing properties.
The second step is the use of foods rich in vitamin B and calcium, such as yogurt, which through its lactic acid bacteria contributes to improve the intestinal flora, stimulating the production of serotonin, the principal hormone of being in a good mood.
The third step is to toast bread, since the process makes it a more digestible element, thus avoiding the renunciation to carbohydrates, which produce insulin, the main responsible to the increase of serotonin in the brain. The same objective can be obtained by the use of fresh and dried fruits such as bananas, pears, cherries, strawberries, walnuts and almonds.
